Application Process
To apply, please go to our Application Sheet and download it, fill it in and submit your
completed form to _____________________. After that, it’s down to us! Your
parent/guardian will then receive an email whether you’ve been successful or not. If you
don’t hear from us 2 weeks from your application date, please resubmit your application
and make sure you’ve used the right email address and all the usual stuff. If you get an email
saying you’ve been successful, well done! We’ll send a further email about setting up a
zoom meeting just to make sure it really is you, so keep your eyes peeled for that! If you do
have any further questions, please do email us at the same address you send your
applications to. We’d also like to add, there is NO CLOSING DATE. We will always be
delighted for you to join us so don’t ever think it’s too late!
What – What is a Curious Times Youth Ambassador and What do they do?
A Curious Times Youth Ambassador is someone from anywhere in the UK who wants to
make a positive difference in their community and help others do the same. They are
someone who talks to the young people in their community and finds out what is important
to them, then reports it back to us so we and your fellow ambassadors can make a real
difference in your lives.
Who – Who are we looking to have as an ambassador and Who will the scheme help?
We are looking to have a vast range of people as ambassadors, all from different locations,
backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, economic backgrounds and, most
importantly, views. We at the Curious Times really value variety and difference as we
believe that without it, the world would be a very boring place and not one we would like to
live in. We would love to impact everyone, but we can’t do that without your valuable help
and input. When our scheme is at its’ peak, we’d love to impact not only your lives but also
the lives of those not yet old enough to appreciate but will feel the impact when they are.
Why – Why are we doing this and Why should you help us?
We at the Curious Times are passionate about young people and the impact they have on
society. That’s why we do all we can to help and support you in any way we can in our areas,
But recently, we decided we were all a bit bored with just having an impact on our local
areas and knew we could do more and have a bigger impact, a more national impact. We sat
and thought about what we could do and this is what we came up with. But we can’t do this
without your support. We need you. This is something we are very passionate about and
know that some of the people reading this will be too. If that’s you we’d love to get to know
you! You, yes you, are very important to us. If you do help us, you’ll be part of something so
much bigger than your school or even your community. You’ll be part of a national mission
to make Britain a better and happier place to be. (There’s also a branded t-shirt involved so
that’s always a good thing.)
How – How do you help us and How will it impact you?
You help us by just being your wonderful, passionate self. Your contributions help us to
better understand the young people in Britain and what they are passionate about, so we
can help them and make a real positive difference. You help us by going out into your
community and finding out what really matters to them. We gather that information and
use it to make change. It will impact you because the things you care about will have a
national voice, and you can find other likeminded people to come together with and take
that even further.
If this has piqued your attention and you’d like to apply, please follow the instructions at the
top. We look forward to hearing from you!
